The Third Session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, or CPPCC, opened on Tuesday. More than 2,000 members from all walks of life are gathering in Beijing to chart the course for the country’s development. Among them is Yang Yuni, a member of the Hani ethnic group in southwest China’s Yunnan Province, who has dedicated herself to preserving and passing down cultural traditions.
