A new law banning junk food from Mexican schools came into effect on Monday – aiming to tackle the country’s growing childhood obesity epidemic. Junk food will no longer be sold in schools across the country and instead schools will now offer healthier food options and provide free drinking water. Schools that don’t comply will face fines.
