South Korean court reinstates impeached PM Han Duck-soo as acting president

South Korea’s Constitutional Court has rejected the impeachment of Prime Minister, Han Duck-soo, and reinstated him as acting president. Han took over from President Yoon Suk-yeol, after he was also impeached for his short-lived declaration of martial law in December.

Al Jazeera’s Jack Barton reports from Seoul, South Korea.

Se Woong Koo is the founder and editor of Korea Exposé, an online magazine specialising in Korean news. He is also a former lecturer in Korean studies at Yale university. He says there’s uncertainty about the outcome of the impeachment case against the president.
