Fighting between the M23 rebels and government forces in DR Congo’s South Kivu province has forced over 60,000 people to flee to neighboring Burundi. The worsening humanitarian crisis comes as Angola prepares to host direct peace talks between the Congolese government and M23 rebels next week. Many displaced families are struggling with limited access to food, water, and shelter, as aid groups warn of worsening conditions in refugee camps.
