Liu Jieyi, spokesperson for the third session of the 14th Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, on Monday gave a thumbs up to China’s booming consumption market during the Spring Festival.
Liu made the remarks when briefing the press as the CPPCC is set to open its annual session on Tuesday.
Noting that the year 2025 marks the first Spring Festival since its inclusion in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, Liu highlighted the record-high box office revenue and moviegoer count and praised the integration of traditional culture and tech.
