At least five people have been wounded in a stabbing near Amsterdam’s central Dam Square, and a suspect has been arrested, the Amsterdam police said on March 27.

Police cordoned off the area, and multiple ambulances, along with a trauma helicopter, responded.

Police urged people who may have witnessed the stabbing to come forward with any images that could assist in the investigation.
