In his visit to Yunnan on Wednesday, the Chinese president checked out a flower industry park in Lijiang to explore local specialty agriculture. The park produces 39.56 million roses and 900,000 calla lilies annually, dominating 90 percent of the national market. Yunnan, the world’s second-largest flower producer after Amsterdam, thrives with Kunming Dounan as its top trading hub. Wang Ning, Yunnan Province CPC Committee Secretary, highlighted its decade-long auction system and overnight deliveries, crediting Yunnan’s unique climate for its industry leadership.
