The U.S. stock market has been experiencing wild swings, driven in part by uncertainty stemming from U.S. tariffs on global trading partners. As a result, fears of a looming recession are growing. Meanwhile, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, or OECD, has downgraded its U.S. growth forecast for this year from 2.4 percent to 2.2 percent. So, is the U.S. on the verge of a recession? What’s behind the economic downturn? And what do we know about the proposed Mar-a-Lago Accord and its potential impact on global trade?
