On February 12, China celebrated this year’s Lantern Festival, the 15th day of the first month on the lunar calendar, marking the end of the Chinese New Year festivities. This 2,000-year-old tradition symbolizes hope and renewal.
Adel, an international student from Kyrgyzstan studying at the School of Social Sciences at Tsinghua University, shares her understanding of the Lantern Festival and her unforgettable experience of spending it in China.
