Since March 21, 2025, South Korea has experienced a severe wildfire outbreak that has been deemed the worst in the country’s history. The disaster has killed 30 people and injured at least 40 so far, according to the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters. The fires have also led to the displacement of more than 6,800 people. CGTN Stringer is on the ground in Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, South Korea to share the latest updates.
