There is no winner in trade and tariff wars, and China will continue to take necessary measures to firmly safeguard its legitimate rights and interests, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun said at a press briefing in Beijing on Tuesday.

Guo made the remarks after U.S. President Donald Trump reportedly announced he would impose tariffs on foreign automobile imports in April.
