Wahuang Temple, located in Shexian County, Handan, north China’s Hebei Province, has a history of over 1,400 years. Although from a distance, Wahuang Temple appears to cling to the cliff, it is actually connected to the mountain behind by nine iron chains. If the number of people upstairs exceeds a certain limit, the building leans forward, and the nine iron chains become taut. Hence the name "hanging temple."
