Three years into the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the prevailing mood is one of cautious optimism following a first round of talks in Riyadh between U.S. and Russian officials. A second round has been scheduled on February 27 in Istanbul while Washington and Kyiv are getting closer to a deal over rare earth resources. As Ukrainian President Zelenskyy is expected to meet U.S. President Trump at the White House to finalize the deal, what are the odds of achieving a ceasefire? Who will be the winners and the losers?
