North Korea has fired multiple ballistic missiles, just hours after condemning the ongoing US-South Korea Freedom Shield joint military exercise. The North sees joint drills between the two allies as a prelude to an invasion and has a track record of staging weapons tests in response. Mr Grant Newsham, senior research fellow at the Japan Forum for Strategic Studies, shared more about Pyongyang’s reaction and US President Donald Trump’s foreign policy in the Korean Peninsula.
