Gaza’s confirmed death toll tops 50,000: Health Ministry

The Health Ministry in Gaza reports that at least 41 people have been killed and 61 wounded in Israeli attacks over the past 24 hours. This brings the total Palestinian death toll since the war began 17 months ago to 50,021, with 113,274 wounded, according to the ministry. Gaza’s Government Media Office reports a higher death toll of over 61,700, stating that thousands missing under the rubble are presumed dead. Israeli forces have also ordered evacuations in Rafah. At least 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks on October 7, 2023, with over 200 taken captive.
