Chinatown Complex to go through major 3-month renovation next year
Singapore’s biggest hawker centre and market Chinatown Complex is set to go through a major three-month renovation next year. The makeover is going to be more extensive than usual, under what is being called the Repairs and Redecoration Plus. It is made possible under a task force convened by the area’s MP Josephine Teo. It includes the National Environment Agency and HDB, which have been giving advice on the potential scope of works. Eugene Chow finds out more.
