For the first time ever, the world-renowned Brick Lane, a hub for British Bangladeshi and wider Muslim communities witnessed an Eid Mubarak lights display. Working with local businesses and members within the community, Tower Hamlets Council wanted to create a vibrant display that reflects the diversity of the locality and the celebration of Eid. Executive Mayor Lutfur Rahman was joined by residents and cabinet members from Tower Hamlets Council to celebrate the moment. The display will remain in place for the foreseeable future.
