Beijing warns Manila against stirring up conflict in South China Sea with US support
China has warned the Philippines not to stir up conflict in the South China Sea. Beijing was responding to remarks made by US defence chief Pete Hegseth on a visit to Manila. He is in the Philippines for the first stop of a tour of Asia. He earlier pledged to strengthen military ties with Manila, to stave off threats from Beijing. Buena Bernal reports from Metro Manila.
