Education, creating safe spaces key in countering radicalisation: Shanmugam
Law and Home Affairs Minister K Shanmugam said educating the young and creating safe spaces for dialogue are key to counter radicalisation. He noted that there is a growing number of arrests of radicalised youths, with one as young as 14 years old. Meanwhile, far-right extremism is also posing a threat to Singapore’s peace. Mr Shanmugam was speaking to Muslim community groups, also known as Qaryahs, at the historic Khalid mosque. Aslam Shah reports.
