Indonesia posts rare fiscal deficit early in the year
Indonesia’s finance ministry delivered its first budget briefing for 2025 two months into the year, a delay that had many asking questions about the state of the government’s finances. Indonesian Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati attributed the unusual wait to very unstable data that the ministry had to consider due to various factors.
