New programme could help firms stay on top of latest technologies, expand
Singapore tech firms are getting help to connect with some major industry players from abroad. This would allow them to find new investors, stay on top of the latest technologies and even expand overseas. This is through a programme launched by the sector’s trade association SGTech. It is aiming for 12 foreign partners to work with its 1,400 local firms in the first year. These include the likes of Huawei International and Alibaba Cloud. Yean Cheong, Executive Director of SGTech, talks about how TechConnect Asia is looking to create opportunities for local companies to go global. She also discusses what solutions Singapore tech companies can offer.
