While it may be legal for former Nominated Members of Parliament (NMP) to join a political party, it may not be principled or fair, says Red Dot United’s Ravi Philemon of ex-NMP Dr Syed Harun Alhabsyi, who has been increasingly visible in Nee Soon GRC since he resigned as NMP. The two men met while on a walkabout at Yishun Park Hawker Centre on Thursday (Apr 3) evening.
In his comments to journalists, Mr Philemon went on to compare it with the legality of ministers renting black-and-white bungalows. "It is not a question of being envious," he said. "It is a question of fairness." #sgnews #singapore
