Ongoing rescue efforts for survivors of Myanmar earthquake
Rescue workers are racing against time to find survivors buried under the rubble, as Myanmar copes with the aftermath of a massive earthquake that killed at least 2,000 people. CNA’s team on the ground observed that despite a lack of equipment and training, locals have rushed to help, digging through rubble with their bare hands to search for survivors. Myanmar said on Apr 1 that it would mark a minute of silence in tribute to victims of the country’s devastating earthquake.
