Online tool launched to help Singaporeans compare health insurance premiums, plans
A new Health Insurance Planner will make it easier for Singaporeans to understand and plan for such needs. This may help with decision making about private health insurance coverage, given its complexity. Health Minister Ong Ye Kung had previously said it’s his ministry’s top priority to review insurance schemes and make sure they provide adequate coverage, without encouraging overconsumption. Sabrina Ng reports, while Dr Phua Kai Hong, an adjunct senior research fellow at the Institute of Policy Studies, shared more about health insurance affordability.
