PAP’s Liang Eng Hwa to recontest Bukit Panjang SMC
The People’s Action Party’s (PAP) Liang Eng Hwa will contest the single-seat ward of Bukit Panjang again for the upcoming #GE2025, the party announced on Tuesday (Apr 15). Speaking to the media, Mr Liang said he expects this election to be “very intensely and keenly contested” and also outlined his plans for the constituency.
Mr Liang narrowly defeated Singapore Democratic Party’s Paul Tambyah with 53.73 per cent of the vote in 2020 – the closest among all SMCs in that election.
