Singapore stands ready to deliver more assistance for quake-hit Myanmar: FM Vivian Balakrishnan
Singaporeโs Minister of Foreign Affairs Vivian Balakrishnan on Sunday (Mar 30) released a video statement, saying Singapore stands ready to deliver further tranches of humanitarian assistance to earthquake-hit Myanmar over the next dew days. He called for an immediate ceasefire to facilitate the delivery of aid.
He announced that the government will contribute S$150,000 to support the Singapore Red Crossโ fundraising efforts for quake victims. "I know Singaporeans feel deep compassion for the people in Myanmar โฆ And Iโm sure Singaporeans out of the deep compassion of our hearts will donate generously," he said.
