Singapore to set up safety commission in 2026 for victims of online harms
Victims of online harms can now unmask offenders and take legal action against them through a new agency. The Online Safety Commission will be set up next year as part of the Digital Development and Information Ministry’s efforts to build a safer online space. Victims will be able to request the OSC to issue a direction to the social media platform to take down offensive content. The platform must also remove identical copies of the content. Nadirah Zaidi reports.
