South Korea’s Constitutional Court upholds impeachment of President Yoon
South Korea’s Constitutional Court has ruled in favour of a full impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol — ending months of turmoil after his brief declaration of martial law last year. Mr Yoon has apologised for failing to meet expectations. The court’s eight judges held a unanimous vote. They believe the ex-leader violated his duty as president by inciting chaos across the country, and that he deployed troops to parliament for "political purposes". South Korea has to elect the next president within 60 days. Grace Shin and Lim Yun Suk report.
