CBI Steps In To Probe Karnataka Starlet Ranya Rao’s Gold Smuggling Case | India Today
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has launched a probe into the gold smuggling case involving Karnataka actress Ranya Rao. The CBI’s involvement comes after Rao was caught by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) smuggling over 14 kg of gold worth more than 12 crore rupees from Dubai. The CBI is investigating potential international connections and a wider smuggling syndicate. Teams are currently in Bangalore and Mumbai gathering evidence.
