The Delhi Cabinet has approved the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, a scheme promising ₹2,500 monthly assistance to poor women. The BJP-led government has allocated ₹5,100 crore for the initiative. Eligibility criteria include an annual income below ₹3,00,000 and no government job. The Aam Aadmi Party has criticised the scheme, labelling it a ‘jumla’. A registration portal will be launched soon, with a 4-member panel overseeing implementation.
