Security forces in Pakistan’s Balochistan province are conducting a rescue operation after insurgents hijacked a passenger train, taking hundreds of hostages. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), a separatist group, claimed responsibility for seizing the Jaffar Express as it traveled from Quetta to Peshawar on Tuesday. By Wednesday morning, security forces had rescued at least 155 passengers and killed 27 insurgents in the ongoing operation.
