Container ship strikes tanker carrying U.S. military jet fuel in North Sea
A container ship collided with a tanker carrying U.S. military jet fuel in the North Sea off the port city of Hull at 10 a.m. on Monday.
Jet fuel spilled into the sea off northeast England following the crash. Two maritime security sources stated that, so far, there was no sign of malicious activity.
Ships with firefighting capabilities, lifeboats, and a helicopter arrived at the scene on Monday morning. Britain’s coastguard reported that 36 people were rescued, but one person remains missing.
