Japan Wildfires LIVE: Thousands Flee After Japan’s Biggest Wildfire In Decades | WION LIVE
Forest fires have been spreading since Wednesday in Ofunato, a coastal city in Iwate Prefecture, northeastern Japan. The fires have forced the evacuation of 3,300 residents. On Thursday morning, authorities discovered a body in Sanrikucho Ryori, one of the areas affected by the blazes. Police believe the victim was caught in the fires, and efforts are underway to identify the deceased.
