Russia-Ukraine War LIVE: Putin Strikes Ukraine Amid Trump’s Decision To Pause Military Aid | WION The Ukrainian cities of Odesa and Sumy were hit by Russian strikes overnight into Tuesday. Four people were injured in the drone attack on the Black Sea port city of Odesa late on Monday, according to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service. Footage from Ukraine’s emergency services showed firefighters trying to put out multiple blazes. Sumy, in the country’s northeast, was struck in the early hours of Tuesday. The State Emergency Service said the strike sparked a fire at a children’s health facility, but no injuries were reported. The strikes come after U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday announced a "pause" in military assistance to Kyiv. A White House official said Trump’s aid pause was aimed at pressuring Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to engage in negotiations to end the war with Russia.
