The Israeli government has reappointed Itamar Ben-Gvir as national security minister – a move that is likely to strengthen Benjamin Netanyahu’s Party. This came after a unanimous vote on Tuesday for his reinstatement. The ultranationalist minister had resigned from the government in January, in protest against the Gaza ceasefire deal. Cabinet members ignored the Attorney General’s objections to his reappointment.
