According to the Israeli military, two projectiles fired from northern Gaza have been intercepted. Air raid sirens echoed across the southern city of Ashkelon as explosions were heard in the sky. This development follows Israel’s decision to end the fragile Gaza ceasefire earlier this week, resuming its bombing campaign on the strip, which has so far claimed the lives of at least 600 Palestinians.

Al Jazeera’s Hamdah Salhut joins live from the Jordanian capital, Amman. She’s there because the Israeli government and the Palestinian Authority have banned Al Jazeera from reporting inside Israel and the occupied West Bank.
