As China unveils its "No.1 central document" for 2025, it outlines priorities for further deepening rural reforms and advancing all-around rural revitalization, ensuring grain security, preventing the re-emergence of extreme poverty and promoting smart agriculture. How is China faring on these fronts? What new trends have emerged? In this edition of The Hub, Wang Guan talks to Zhao Bing, representative and country director of the World Food Program’s China Office, to discuss China’s market-based approach to agriculture and how its experience is being replicated in developing countries.
