In Svay Ampear Village, Svay Ampear Commune, Kandal, Cambodia, 75-year-old Chen Lun resides with her husband and several grandchildren in the village. Her husband is aging and unwell, while her daughter and son-in-law work in Phnom Penh, leaving the family short of labor and struggling to make ends meet. The East Asia Poverty Reduction Cooperation Pilot Project was initiated in Cambodia, with Svay Ampear Village as one of the pilot sites. The Chen family was among the first to participate in the housing renovation project under this initiative. Let’s see whether the Chen Lun family can embrace a new life.
