The ruins of Zhao Palace are the best-preserved and largest-scale relic site during the Warring States Period (475-221 BC).
Zhao Palace was built when Zhao State relocated its capital to Handan, north China’s Hebei Province. It’s recorded that in the year of 386 BC, Zhao State moved its capital from Zhongmu to Handan where eight kings ruled there for 158 years.
