Changle Temple, located in Handan City, north China’s Hebei Province, was established 1,500 years ago during the Northern Qi period. It was known as the "first ancient temple to the north of the Yellow River." Unfortunately, it was repeatedly destroyed due to Buddhist prohibition and wars. After reconstruction during the Song, Jin, Ming and Qing dynasties, it was partially destroyed by fire in 1947. Only a tower outside the gate and some carved stone components remain.
