Trump’s aggressive tariff policies and unpredictable style have placed U.S.-Canada relations on edge. And it’s not all. In an interview with CGTN’s Wang Guan, Benoît Hardy-Chartrand, faculty lecturer at Temple University Japan, warns that Trump’s escalating trade tactics are forcing Canada to reconsider its deep economic ties with Washington. Meanwhile, similar concerns are growing in other American allies such as Japan and South Korea, questioning whether they too might face sudden economic or political pressure.
