Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) acupuncture is China’s unique contribution to global medicine. In 2010, it was inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. By the end of 2024, acupuncture had been practiced and applied in 196 countries and regions.
