While the 25 percent tariffs on its neighbors were temporarily put on hold, the 10 percent tariffs on China moved forward. These measures have sparked intense debate about their economic, political and strategic consequences. Do tariffs truly serve U.S. interests in rebuilding its manufacturing capacity? What will be their impact on international trade and global supply chains? How will these policies affect U.S. relations with the rest of the world?
