Filipino pair figure skaters Isabella Gamez and Aleksandr Korovin made history in 2022 by winning the Philippines’ first international medal in figure skating. Now, the duo has arrived at the Asian Winter Games in Harbin, hoping their participation will inspire greater interest in winter sports in the Philippines – a tropical country where such activities are uncommon. Isabella said that their goal is to "keep promoting winter sports and getting more people involved." They also expressed their admiration for the well-organized event. Aleksandr commented that it’s "a very high level of organization."
