The Central Asian nation of Azerbaijan seeks to be a global player on climate action and trade while being a reliable partner with China. Azerbaijan hosted the UN climate conference, COP29, in its capital, Baku, in November last year. The country has also served as chair of the Non-Aligned Movement.
