On February 1, U.S. President Donald Trump issued executive orders imposing 25 percent tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico, and 10 percent on China. However, by February 3, he announced a 30-day pause on these tariffs after Mexico and Canada agreed to take steps to tighten border security and drug trafficking.
